Pramaun — remedial massage therapist

Lead Therapist

Pramuan Ngamlord

Remedial Massage Therapist  ·  Tok Sen Practitioner  ·  Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin

Pramuan is a Thai remedial massage therapist with years of hands-on practice focused on muscular tension, targeted pain relief and physical recovery. His work is rooted in proper assessment of where tension originates — not just where it presents — and in directing every session toward the specific areas each client brings on the day.

He runs a private monthly appointment clinic in Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin — a model that keeps sessions small, unhurried, and consistently high quality. Every appointment is one-to-one and fully conducted in English, from consultation through to close.

In July 2026, Pramuan will complete formal certification in Tok Sen — a traditional Northern Thai therapeutic technique he has been training in alongside his broader remedial practice. This will add a meaningful new dimension to the deep-tissue and fascial work he already offers.

Traditional Northern Thai Therapy — Certifying July 2026

Tok Sen — Wooden Mallet Tendon Therapy

A 5,000-year-old Northern Thai technique — Pramuan completes formal certification in July 2026

What is Tok Sen?

Tok Sen (ต๊อกเส้น) is a traditional healing practice that originated in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand and is estimated to be over 5,000 years old. The name translates loosely as “tapping the energy lines” — tok meaning to tap or knock, sen referring to the body’s tendon and energy pathways.

The technique uses a specially crafted wooden mallet and a tapered wooden peg — traditionally made from tamarind, teak or other hardwoods believed to carry therapeutic properties. The practitioner taps rhythmically along the body’s sen lines, creating a penetrating vibration that travels deep into the muscle tissue, fascia and nerve pathways in a way that finger or palm pressure alone cannot replicate.

It is a genuinely distinct sensation — not painful, but deeply resonant. Many people describe it as feeling the vibration move through the body well beyond the point of contact.

What it can help with

Tok Sen is particularly well suited to tension and tightness that sits deep in the body and has not responded fully to conventional massage pressure. The vibration reaches structures that hands struggle to access directly.

  • Deep-seated muscle tension and chronic tightness that conventional massage reaches only partially
  • Fascial restriction and stiffness from long periods of fixed posture or repetitive movement
  • Nerve pathway tension — many clients report a releasing or “opening” sensation along the limbs
  • Lower back, hip and leg tightness running along tendon lines rather than sitting in the muscle belly
  • Accumulated fatigue in the shoulders, neck and upper back from screen work or travel

Tok Sen is offered as an integrated part of the session where appropriate. Pramuan will recommend it if it is well suited to what you have described in your consultation, and explain what to expect before using it.

The Consultation

Every session starts with a proper conversation

Before any hands-on work begins, Pramuan sits with you and asks. Where is the tension? How long has it been there? What makes it worse? Are there areas to avoid? This conversation — conducted in English — directly shapes the session that follows.

He also explains what he is doing and why as the session progresses — so you understand what is being worked on, can give accurate feedback, and leave with a clearer picture of your own body.

Growing the Team

Additional Staff

Pramuan is currently our only practitioner. As the clinic grows and we identify therapists whose standards and communication meet the same level, we will add them here. We will not expand for the sake of capacity — only when the quality is right.
